Six ORT Israel students attended the first official ORT America event, which was held at a French-style bistro in Manhattan.

The students had just competed in NASA’s 15th annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competition in Atlanta where they came a creditable 24th out of 320.

The evening raised $30,000 for the Students At Risk program. The students, from ORT Tel Nof, are pictured with Women’s American ORT President Judy Menikoff and event chair Laila Levitas.
